Dr. Zamora has lived in the Austin area since 1985 and has been involved in eye care for over 27 years. He is the co-founder of Advanced Eye Care & Surgery, the past optometric director of refractive surgery for the largest eye care practice in Austin, the past Clinical Director for Dell Laser Consultants in Austin, and has co-managed over 5,000 refractive surgery cases. Dr. Zamora received a B.A. degree from the University of Texas at Austin and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry. He was involved in ophthalmic technical training for over 14 years and taught courses for certified ophthalmic personnel extensively throughout Texas, Louisiana, Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina, Maryland, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, and Ohio.

Dr. Zamora received the University of Texas Achievement Award and was the recipient of the University of Houston Graduate Fellowship Award. He received the Beta Sigma Kappa Award and VSP Award and Scholarship in 1997. He was also the recipient of the Vistakon Award for Excellence in Contact Lens Patient Care in 1998. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association, the Central Texas Optometric Society and the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society. Dr. Zamora is licensed in Texas as a Therapeutic Optometrist and an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. He is a past adjunct professor at the University of Houston College of Optometry.

Dr. Zamora is a native of Marksville, Louisiana. She has practiced optometry in Louisiana and throughout the Greater Austin area while co-founding Advanced Eye Care & Surgery. Dr. Zamora comes from a family of eye care professionals- her father, who practiced optometry for over 35 years; her sister, an ophthalmologist; and another sister who is an optometrist. Dr. Zamora received a B.S. degree from Tulane University and graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry. She completed an externship program at the United States Marine Corps Recruit Depot and Naval Hospital in Parris Island, South Carolina. There, she conducted procedures in a refractive surgery study to determine its safety and efficacy for naval aviators. She and her husband, Dr. Javier Zamora, have practiced together since 2002.

Dr. Zamora was the recipient of a Legislative Academic Scholarship for four years at Tulane University. She is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society, the Texas Optometric Association, the Louisiana State Association of Optometrists, the American Optometric Association, and is a past president of the Central Texas Optometric Society. Dr. Zamora is licensed in both Texas and Louisiana as a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. She is an active member of the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Ware was graduated Magna cum Laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry and is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa honor society. Dr. Ware is active in various optometric organizations, including the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, and Central Texas Optometric Society (serving as Treasurer 2001-2002 and Secretary 2000).

Dr. Megan Constans graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1994 and went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston – College of Optometry in 1998.
She received her externship training with a large multi-specialty group in Wichita, Kansas where she was trained in ocular disease, cataracts and LASIK co-management. She also completed externship training in Miami, Oklahoma with an emphasis in co-management of diabetics.

Upon graduation from Optometry School, Dr. Constans joined a practice in Overland Park, KS – a large suburb of Kansas City, MO. Two years later she opened her own private practice as a partner, managing the office and seeing patients until the fall of 2016, after her husband took a job in Austin. Her family is excited about this new adventure and establishing strong roots in Austin. Dr. Constans enjoys being active in the community and is looking forward to exploring all that Austin offers – and all the places her three boys are sure to take her.

Dr. Constans is a member of the Texas Optometric Association, Central Texas Optometric Society and the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Hoang is dedicated to helping children improve their quality of life through improved vision. Establishing a long-term relationship and a positive experience with her patients and their family is a top priority.

Dr. Hoang earned her medical degree at Oregon Health & Science University and completed her residency in ophthalmology at Casey Eye Institute in Portland, OR. She then continued her extensive training through her fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard University specializing in pediatrics ophthalmology and adult strabismus. Her clinical interest encompasses pediatric cataract, amblyopia nasolacrimal duct disorders, glaucoma and strabismus where she provides adjustable suture surgery for children and adults. She is also involved in community service both locally and internationally as an instructor and volunteer.

Originally from Oregon, her family has relocated to Austin, which has attracted Dr. Hoang to put down new roots here. She also enjoys the ample sunshine and access to great food in central Texas. In her free time she loves hiking, trying new restaurants and spending time with her family.

Dr. Hoang is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus, Austin Ophthalmological Society, Texas Medical Association, and Travis County Medical Society. Dr. Hoang is welcoming new patients.

An experienced eye care specialist, Dr. Gina Cottle’s passion for eye care came early as she completed completed her undergraduate education at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, where she double-majored in Biology and English. She went to medical school at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia, where she graduated in the top 5% of her class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Dr. Cottle completed her medical internship at Pennsylvania State’s Hershey Medical Center, where she excelled and won “Intern of the Year”. She returned to Virginia and completed her Ophthalmology Residency at the Medical College of Virginia and had the honor of being selected as Chief Resident in her third year. In an effort to fine-tune her corneal and LASIK surgeon skills, she was accepted into the Corneal and Refractive Surgery Fellowship at Eye Consultants of Atlanta and Piedmont Better Vision, where she had the opportunity to learn from some of the most well-renowned corneal and LASIK surgeons in the country. As a certified ophthalmologist and corneal specialist, she stayed and practiced with this Atlanta group for three years, then honed her surgical skills in South Carolina and Birmingham, Alabama. With a desire to be closer to her family, Dr. Cottle finally returned to her home in Austin, Texas in 2008.

Dr. Cottle and her family love to spend time on Lake Austin, and this gave her the inspiration for the name of her ophthalmology practice, Lake Austin Eye. The beauty and serenity of the water, combined with the culturally rich and unique qualities of Austin, make this an ideal location for work and play.

Dr. Labbe earned a Bachelor of Science degree and Medical Degree from Louisiana State University. He then completed a transitional internship at Austin Medical Education Program followed by an ophthalmology residency at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. His glaucoma fellowship was completed at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Dr. Labbe also served as a clinical instructor where he taught glaucoma and cataract surgery techniques to residents. He has presented his clinical research at national meetings and is the author of three textbook chapters in internationally recognized textbooks. Dr. Labbe is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Labbe specializes in medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma and cataracts. He also provides comprehensive eye exams as well as diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions and diseases of the eye. Dr. Stephen Smith is a native Texan born and raised in Houston, Texas. He completed undergraduate degrees in electrical engineering and economics at Rice University. After working as a consultant for Price Waterhouse he attended Tulane University School of Medicine. He spent five years in New Orleans completing an MD degree and an internship. He then completed training in ophthalmology at Northwestern University in Chicago and a retina fellowship at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston.

Dr. Smith is a board certified ophthalmologist. He worked for Texas Retina Associates in Lubbock, Texas prior to fulfilling a desire to move to Austin. He currently sees patients in Austin with diseases of the retina and vitreous. These include such conditions as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, vascular and hypertensive retinal problems, retina tears and detachment, epi-retinal membrane and macular holes.

When not practicing medicine Dr. Smith enjoys golf, tennis, biking and working on becoming proficient in Spanish.

Dr. Natalie Stanciu was born and raised in Long Island, New York. After placing second at the NY state tennis championship and traveling throughout the country competing in national tournaments, Dr. Stanciu went on to play for the Cornell University women’s tennis team. In 2002 she graduated with honors from this prestigious school with a bachelor’s degree in Policy Analysis and Management. She then attended the University of Miami Miller school of Medicine where she was given recognition for her community service work. After medical school, Dr. Stanciu completed an internal medicine internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. She then stayed in Miami and completed her three-year residency in ophthalmology along with a one-year neuro-ophthalmology fellowship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute which is the top ophthalmology program in the country. She came to Austin, Texas in 2011 and completed a two year ASOPRS accredited fellowship in oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery at TOC Eye and Face. She has presented at numerous national meetings and authored several papers in peer reviewed journals including a book chapter.
Dr. Stanciu’s interests include spending time with her husband and three children. She enjoys traveling, live music, tennis, painting and photography. She speaks Spanish, Romanian, and French and is a third generation physician.
